The Open Boat FB2
- Input
- 549 byte FictionBook XML with two body paragraphs under section I and title-info for Stephen Crane.
- Output
- 21,865 byte PDF 1.4, reported as 3 pages, with title metadata marker present in the bytes we inspected.

From real runs
| Element | Result | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Pagination | Changed | FB2 is structured XML without fixed pages, so our ebook engine created page breaks during PDF rendering. |
| Book title | Kept | The Open Boat title appeared in converted outputs and PDF title metadata markers were present. |
| Author | Changed | Author metadata is read by our ebook engine, but PDF readers expose it differently from FB2 title-info fields. |
| Sections | Kept | The short section structure rendered as ordered prose in the PDF pages. |
| Reflow | Lost | The resulting PDF no longer adapts like an ebook; text size and line breaks are baked into pages. |
| Images | Changed | Image-bearing FB2 content can render into PDF pages, but assets are no longer separately addressable. |
