Does this remove DRM?

No. DRM-protected ebooks are not supported and must be unlocked by rights holders before conversion.

Will my cover and table of contents survive?

Calibre preserves cover art, metadata, and navigation when the source includes them in a readable form.

Is MOBI the same as AZW3?

No. MOBI is older and more limited; AZW3/KF8 supports richer Kindle styling.

Can I set PDF paper size?

Yes. The paper_size option is passed to Calibre for PDF output.

Will page numbers stay the same?
